Engagement Session 

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to you both! You're now engaged and THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF ALL THE EXCITEMENT!

 

You have quite the journey in front of you and IT'S TOTALLY UP TO YOU GUYS who you go on that journey with. Of course, there will be both or you, but who else will you choose? The suppliers you choose on your wedding day will be by your side over the whole course of planning your day and with you on your day too. Did you know, you'll probably spend more time with your photographer than any other supplier or person on your day? 

 

 That's why it's so important to get it right. You need to be COMFORTABLE and AT EASE with whoever you choose to capture your day, which is why the engagement session is such a great chance to GET TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. Not only will the session put any concerns and worries to bed, it will also provide you with some EPIC PHOTOS to remember this stage of your life together. 

 

LOTS OF MY COUPLES BOOK AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION before their wedding day, usually, because they want to experience how I work and get to know me a little better before their day. It gives us chance to chat about your plans and you can ask me as much or as little as you'd like too. IT'S A CHANCE TO GET COMFORTABLE BEING AROUND THE CAMERA and also the chance to go wherever you'd like.

 

I've done engagement sessions with tractors, the children, horses and a whole pack of dogs, I've also done them at sunrise and sunset. THIS SESSION IS ONE THAT CAN BE TOTALLY DICTATED BY YOU, whereas your wedding day portraits may have to be more flexible and adjusted to fit in with the schedule of your day. Plus, as much as we'd love to be, we can never control what the weather will be doing, you can't move your wedding day but we could look at adjusting this.

These photos will be perfect for save the date announcements, another idea is you can have it printed with an extra wide mount and then get you guests to sign the mount, I bet you've seen these before at weddings.
