Displaying your images

I'm proud to have locally sourced these hand-crafted, Fine Art Books, made in Yorkshire by a small team who noticed a gap in the market back in 2010, the team are passionate about their productS which is what I loved about them; they have attention to detail and will look over each and every album to make sure it is just perfect.

Fine Art Photo Books are a pleasure to touch, feel and look at. The images are crisp, printed with only the finest quality of pigment inks, onto 200g fine art paper, measuring approximately 0.5mm thick. Images are printed directly on to the page and each double spread opens out flat with an almost invisible crease so your photographic art can be displayed across two pages.

Every Fine Art Book includes as standard:

  • Natural cotton bag

  • Kraft presentation box

In a standard book I usually recommend that you choose between 50-60 images or 5-6 image per spread if you are adding extra pages. I will ask you to choose your images by creating a favourites list within your online gallery. This list gives me a great backbone to start planning your book, if I feel like there are areas of your day which are lacking imagery, I will use my artistic vision and knowledge to insert extras to the mix. Once I have popped your mock-up together, I will share a link with you. You'll be able to browse your visual photo book from the comfort of your own home, after contemplating the design you can make notes if you'd like changes to be made. After completing the changes I'll be be able to  resend your design, so you can be sure you're happy with the outcome and then we'll get it ordered.

When the photo book goes to print, it generally takes between 4-6 weeks for it to be made and dispatched.

Here's some things you might like to take a look at ahead of ordering your photo book so you can be ready when I ask you after we've finished your photo book's initial design and layout. First of all, you should take a look at the leathers and fabrics you can choose to cover your book with.

Lots of couples go for the colour theme of their day, whereas others will choose to stay neutral by going for a classic colour, such as: Mist, Sandstone or Saddle in the Contemporary Leathers range you can see below.

Now you've chosen your material and colour you should think about how you will personalise the cover...

On the Front Cover you can have, one or two lines of text in one of our standard fonts, there are lots of options for the two lines of text. Take your time, to think about what you might like it to say and then have a look at the options below to decide how you would like it displaying on your photo book.

Also known as blind blocking or stamping, but the same magical process. They use traditional methods to imprint letters into the cover without ink or foil. It’s an elegant, tactile finish.

To engrave your text or logo, our highly accurate laser removes the material’s top layer to reveal its natural hues beneath.

The latest personalisation technique, but it can achieve either a modern or classic look. We can print directly onto most of the materials in either black or white ink.

A really eye-catching finish. As with debossing, they imprint letters into the material, but press metallic foil into the indentation.

My suppliers can now finish the leather album covers with real 22 carat gold lettering and logos. It’s a dazzling look and we think is a first among UK-based album makers. (Additional charge.)

This lustrous silvery-white metal looks heavenly on the leather covers and can be used for either lettering or logos.

There’s an expanded range of standard fonts to give you plenty of options.

For debossing and foil blocking, you can choose from Bebas, Prata, Helvetica or Coronation. The latter is used in traditional bookbinding and is similar to Century Gothic.

For printing, engraving and 22 carat gold, you have an even wider choice, which includes Bebas, Bombshell, Century, Century Gothic, Courier, Futura, Gill Sans, Helvetica, Magarella, Melinda, Montserrat, Prata, Times, Trajan and Univers. Examples below.
