Caroline was the very first winner of The Brand Edit, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better business to start with.
She runs Hot Toddi, helping businesses show up with confidence online through thoughtful social media strategy. Her work focuses on building genuine relationships, growing visibility, and creating trust, so businesses can grow in a way that feels natural and aligned.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF BRANDING SESSION
During our discovery call, Caroline shared that she’d actually had three branding shoots in the past.
But as we talked, it quickly became clear that her idea of a branding session and mine were quite different.
She described previous experiences as feeling uncomfortable and, in her words, a little bit cringy. There were lots of images, but many of them felt the same, and they didn’t quite reflect her or her business in the way she’d hoped.
And this is something I hear more often than you’d think.
Because branding photography isn’t just about having photos.It’s about having the right photos.
TELLING THE FULL STORY THROUGH BRANDING PHOTOS
My approach is never about creating hundreds of headshots in front of different backdrops.
It’s about understanding the person behind the business.
Before we even picked up the camera, I spent time getting to know Caroline, how she works, what makes her tick, and what life looks like outside of her business. That’s where the real story is.
From there, we created images that reflect all areas of her business, not just what she does, but how she does it. Caroline is fun and flexible offering 1:1 mentoring along with teaching bigger crowds she works with individuals along with Councils and Universities spread her weather of knowledge on Social Media.
Caroline takes a holistic approach and mindful of the world we live in, she knows so many of us over consume content and is mindful of that, showing you how to work smartly and effectively, it's as much about the system as it is the algorithm.
The result is a set of images she can use across her website, social media, and marketing, consistently and confidently.
THE EXPERIENCE
One of the most important parts of any branding session is how it feels.
Caroline fully embraced the experience, and by the end of the session she was completely at ease, which is always where the magic happens.
Thank YOU honestly your time, effort & preparation made it seem less to just do it but not pretend to do it actually enjoy getting the shots without having to pose! I feel so lucky to have had this experience it was so effortless even though we had prepared it felt like hanging out with friends.
