These two met just over six years ago and they love nothing better than being outside exploring together, which is how they came across Westfield Farm, AKA Grand Get Togethers for their wedding.
They were holidaying in the area when they found their venue. They booked and went to explore further, finding they totally loved it right away. They loved it's rustic charm. From the blank canvas the ceremony barn offered to the grounds it's located it.
For Sarah and Alex, they wanted a small wedding where they would enjoy the company of their family for a weekend. The benefit of Westfield Farm is it can sleep a staggering amount of people, which you just wouldn’t expect and it meant everyone they invited would be able to enjoy the venue and it's adjoining 10 acres of parkland fully.
The gardens were indeed incredible, there were so many places for photo opportunities, it was perfect, from the orchard to the enchanting pergola and the backdrop of the landscape beyond we were spoilt for choice, even on a rainy day.
Luckily, with these two enjoying being in the great outdoors, the rain didn’t seem to spoil their day at all, Sarah just ran across the courtyard to the beautiful ceremony room and after, everyone squeezed in to the Granary, where Alex and the family got ready on the morning. Here everyone enjoyed the amazing canapés, thrown together by Alison and her team from The Willow’s Catering Co.
They wanted it to be informal, which is just what they got. As they chatted and nibbled, it was so lovely to watch the close connections that Alex and Sarah have with both their families, this became even clearer during the speeches... Take a look at their day below.
