The very thought of couples getting married outdoors in the UK excites me in so many ways, I can't tell you! Thankfully, lots of my local venues are getting wind of the growing popularity, of couples deciding to tie the knot in the great outdoors. They're cottoning on and providing the most amazing of set-ups for brides and grooms to do this with its increasing popularity.
Have you ever thought about getting married outside? I love the great outdoors and if this had been a thing when I got married I would have definitely considered it. Not only are you surrounded by timeless foliage or country gardens you get some incredible light too, not to mention the fact that everyone has plenty of space and is not packed into a room like sardines.
Our venues now are so eager to please and if the weather is looking dicey, they'll do everything within their power to give you what you want. Some I know will make the call with just hours to go and those that have space will set up two areas, just in case or have gone to the trouble of putting a form of cover where your guests would be seated.
Just take a moment to imagine the sound of bird song overhead, which your guests can patiently listen to whilst waiting for your grand entrance. Or the crunching of leaves underfoot as you walk down the aisle, it's truly magical. I love it when the warm breeze catches the flowers or blows a butterfly by to wish you luck and make everyone giggle or feel sentimental.

"The idea of an outside wedding was purely because we got together at a festival, the relaxed nature of the outdoors, listening to live music and drinking. It’s just something that suited us. Weddings can be so formal, too similar, we wanted something different to the 'norm' with less of the formalities of a typical wedding. Burythorpe was the ideal location for us, Alison couldn’t do enough, she wasn’t put off by our ideas, she embraced them." Kayleigh x
